About the XML Sitemap Generator

This tool takes a plain list of URLs, one per line, validates each one, and wraps them in the correct XML structure defined by the sitemap protocol — including a <lastmod> date set to today for each entry — producing a file that's immediately ready to upload.
Any line that isn't a valid, complete URL (missing the https:// protocol, for example) is automatically skipped and flagged, so you get a clean, working sitemap even if your list has a formatting mistake or two.

Do I need to include every single page on my site?
Ideally yes, for pages you want indexed — but exclude pages you don't want search engines to find, like admin panels, thank-you pages, or duplicate content variants. A sitemap should represent your canonical, indexable pages.
What does the lastmod date in the generated file mean?
It's meant to indicate when each URL's content was last significantly updated, which can help search engines prioritize re-crawling recently changed pages. This tool sets it to today's date for all entries at generation time — update it manually per-URL if you need more granular accuracy later.
Is there a limit to how many URLs I can paste in at once?
The sitemap protocol itself allows up to 50,000 URLs per file, and this tool has no artificial limit below that. If you have significantly more pages than that, you'd need to split them across multiple sitemap files.
Do I need to resubmit my sitemap every time I add a new page?

Will invalid URLs in my list break the whole sitemap?
